Wöltingerode Monastery has been famous for its fine spirits from its own monastery distillery since 1682.

According to old tradition, a raw spirit is first produced from clear well water, barley malt and wheat from the company's own estates in copper stills. This is followed by a second distillation. The result is a 96% fine spirit of unsurpassed purity, which contains only the fine floral grain aromas. Using spring water from our own well, this fine base spirit is distilled to 38% vol. 

Its mild, characteristic taste is achieved through ageing in oak barrels. In addition, the addition of plant, fruit and herbal extracts results in fine, excellent liqueurs.
