The route leads over hill and valley through the deciduous and mixed forests of the South Harz.

**Public transportation**The Barbis train station (Bad Lauterberg district) is about 5.5 km from the eastern center and the tourist information in the spa park. From there, you can access the four MTB routes BL1 to BL4.
