The 19-kilometer circular hiking trail leads once around the largest reservoir in Lower Saxony and offers a varied play of water, forest, and air.

Directions

Towards Weißwasserbrücke and further to the Gemkenthal inn, which invites you to stop for a meal. Then continue your path to the forebay. Passing Schulenberg, you head back towards the main dam. Near the Weißwasserbrücke is the Brückenschänke, where you can be served as well as at the Café Okerterrasse. The widely branched side arms of the Oker Reservoir especially encourage you to enjoy the varied interplay of water, forest, and air on hiking and cycling excursions. With the excursion boat, which runs almost all year round on the reservoir, visitors embark on discovery tours into the numerous and beautifully located bays.

Directions & Parking facilities

**Getting there**

- From Goslar towards Oker and then on the B498 in the direction of Clausthal-Zellerfeld / Osterode
- After about 4 km, you pass Romkerhall and after another 4 km, you reach the main dam of the Oker Reservoir.

**Parking**Parking spaces are available shortly before the dam. The parking spaces directly at the dam are reserved for restaurant guests.
