This bike tour covers 12 km and includes the villages of Langenstein, Böhnshausen, and Benzingerode, as well as the town of Derenburg near the city of Halberstadt. It offers many different sights and places to stop.

-Derenburg - Derenburg glass manufactory, town hall with marketplace, local history room, remains of the city fortifications (not on the route), Stone Age menhirs

Directions

You drive left along Quedlinburger Straße and Dorfstraße until the village exit sign, cross the railway line and B 81 and reach Böhnshausen. – 2 km

At the roundabout, take the second exit and drive on a concrete path towards Derenburg until the sports field. - 3 km

Before the sports field, turn left to Osterholz. You are then on the path of German emperors and kings. - 1.5 km

Now turn right and drive westwards to the pond at Hellbach and the L 84 (Derenburg — Heimburg) - 1.5 km

Cross this and drive through the fields to the B 6n (there are three Stone Age menhirs here) and reach Benzingerode. - 4 km

In Benzingerode you can take route R 1 to Wernigerode or to Blankenburg.
