Since 960, the motto “To serve God” has been at the heart of the lives of the Benedictine nuns of Drübeck Monastery. The community was a daughter foundation of Corvey Abbey. Today, Drübeck is a modern conference centre of the Protestant Church, offering visitors insights into spiritual, cultural and economic life from the Middle Ages to the present day.
The Romanesque monastery church of St Vitus conveys the history of faith in architectural form. In the late Baroque monastery gardens, you can discover traces of the daily life of the canonesses from the 18th century. The domain barns recall the agricultural use of the former princely monastery estate.
