Tourism marketing for the region

The Harz Tourism Association (HTV) is the officially recognised tourism marketing organisation for the entire Harz region.
The association’s territory covers the parts of the Harz in Lower Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt and Thuringia. The organisation was founded in 1904 in Bad Lauterberg and has been active again for the entire region since 1990. The association is based in Goslar.

The association currently has around 300 members and partners – including the five Harz districts, towns and municipalities, accommodation providers as well as tourism facilities. In addition, there are other companies involved in tourism, such as printing houses and incoming agencies, as well as banks.

As the umbrella organisation for tourism in the Harz, the HTV sees its main task in effective destination management. In doing so, it relies on closely coordinated cooperation with municipalities and service providers.

Below we try to answer some important questions about the association.
