Hessen Castle
The historic park in Hesse serves as a place of peace and relaxation for locals, guests, and visitors. The scale of the former pleasure garden is brought to life through reconstructed historic sightlines and other design elements.
An exhibition in the pavilion provides information about the history of the site and its people. In addition, a permanent exhibition honors the prominent plant collector and gardener Johann Royer.
The stone barn has been adapted for cultural events such as concerts, folk festivals, and exhibitions. Schloss Hessen has also been renovated in key areas in accordance with historic preservation guidelines and can be used for various events, such as exhibitions.
The goal of the Friends’ Association is the gradual restoration and utilization of the castle complex while adhering to historic preservation requirements. In the long term, Schloss Hessen is intended to develop into an intellectual and cultural center for the town and a tourist attraction.
