Neustadt Marble Run
Two large-scale wooden marble runs at the Kneipp water treading pool across from the campground in Neustadt/Harz are sure to bring a sparkle to the eyes of young and old alike. Nestled between the Waldbad, the mixed forest of the Southern Harz, and below the majestic ruins of Hohnstein Castle, these weatherproof, bolted-together wooden structures invite visitors to experiment with speed, curves, and minor collisions without losing a single marble.
A vending machine right next to the tracks supplies all marble fans with sturdy, perfectly fitting wooden marbles for a small fee. You’re also welcome to bring your own marbles. Thanks to the extra-wide track, gentle slope, and rounded edges, children can safely play with marbles or hold impromptu marble races, while parents soak in the Kneipp basin, use the picnic area at the Waldbad, or catch their breath on the comfortable benches.
