Poppenbergturm

The Poppenberg Tower, located near the village of Harztor (Ilfeld district), was built on Poppenberg in 1897. The tower is a 33.5-meter-high steel lattice structure and, on clear days, offers visitors a fantastic panoramic view stretching from the southern Harz Mountains and Kyffhäuser to the Thuringian Forest and as far as Kassel.
