Quedlinburg Abbey Garden and Brühl Park
The women also made their claim to power clear: The Baroque main path, which runs from the hunting star of Brühlpark through the abbey garden, does not point to the abbey church but to the castle - where the abbesses ruled. The austere structure of the Abbey Garden was once again evident during the period when beds were planted here for the internationally renowned seed production. The transformation of the Brühlpark in a landscape style, which had already begun under the last abbess, was continued by the citizens of the town. Two important garden artists, Eduard Petzold 1866 and Johann Gottlieb Schoch 1900, completed the attractiveness of the park.
