This is the best preserved battlefield of antiquity to date with over 2700 finds.
Under the expert guidance of our Harzhorn guides, you can follow in the footsteps of Emperor Maximinus Thrax through the site and gain fascinating insights into the history of a dramatic conflict between the Romans and Germanic tribes around 235/236 AD.

In the grounds, information stations and a building, which is open on Sundays and during guided tours, provide interesting facts about the events.

Guided tours can be booked at buchung@harzhorn.net or by calling 05553 9953757.
