The itinerant apiary has been based in Hessen, a town in the northern Harz foreland, for 77 years and is now in its second generation. Mr. Kretschmar teaches that his bees are far more than just honey producers in bee seminars and lectures for children's groups of all ages as well as for adults. Following the principle "People only protect what they know", seminar participants old and young learn about the diverse work and life of bees and the responsibility of beekeepers.

Blooming meadows and a rich fruit harvest are just as much the work of bees as honey. Mr. Kretschmar's honey is fresh, natural and naturally additive-free. Quality that you can see, smell and taste and which has earned the honey the "Typisch Harz" regional brand seal of quality.
