In the heart of the town, the carillon on the market square depicts the history of the Rammelsberg four times a day through a rotating display of figures. Just a few steps away stands the Imperial Palace, built between 1040 and 1050 under Henry III, which today illustrates the history of the itinerant imperial court. The Emperor’s heart rests in the Imperial Chapel – a quiet place steeped in significance.
Goslar also offers a diverse range of museums. On the ‘Museumsufer’, the Goslar Museum and the Tin Figure Museum invite you to explore history.
