The tour takes you through the mountains of the southern Harz and concludes in the old town of Nordhausen.

On the Harz circular route, the journey leads to Niedersachswerfen, where the mountains of the southern Harz appear very impressive when looking north. From there, a cycle path continues to Ilfeld. Behind the forest bath, there is a short section that is steep and narrow, so it's better to push your bike here, especially since you have to cross the B 4 again at the top. The route continues along the Harz narrow-gauge railway, past the Rabenstein tunnel and the Eisfelder valley mill. A steep street leads to Sophienhof, where a visit to the brewery inn and the goat meadow is recommended. Then it continues on the lightly trafficked road to Rothesütte and further on gravel down to Sülzhayn. Please ride slowly here as it is quite steep in places! Above Sülzhayn, there is a rest area with a great view of the southern Harz. From there, the route leads relatively flat and on well-ridable paths through the southern Harz Zechstein belt to the destination in Nordhausen.
