  • Destination: Ilsenburg pond and from there back to Bad Harzburg.
Heading towards Stapelburg, you will see the Lower and Upper Schimmerwald on the right and left sides. Then continue along the B6 towards Veckenstedt. On both the left and right sides, in the direction of Wernigerode, vast landscapes are unmistakable. After taking a break at the castle in Wernigerode, you continue to Ilsenburg to a beautiful pond in the town center. The return trip to Bad Harzburg ends again at the Bike House Harz.

Starting point of the route: Bike House Harz in Bad Harzburg, Ilsenburger Straße 112

Cycle along the L501 towards Stapelburg. Pass the Lower and Upper Schimmerwald and ride to the outskirts of town where the castle ruins can be seen.

From there continue towards Veckenstedt, passing the B6. From the town center of Veckenstedt, continue on the bike path towards Wernigerode Castle. There is an opportunity for a short stop at a restaurant there. From there, continue via Darlingerode and Drübeck to Ilsenburg, where a beautiful pond can be seen. Now head back towards Bad Harzburg.
