The Eckertal - hiking "over stock and stone" along the former inner-German border.

From the spa park, we climb up via the Ettersklippe. Once at the top, we continue hiking to the Molkenhaus and take a break here in a friendly atmosphere. We continue along the Braunschweiger Weg to the Eckertal dam – a marvel of engineering. We take the path on the western side of the dam and follow the Pionierweg until we reach the crossing over the Ecker. On the eastern side, in the state of Saxony-Anhalt, we hike back to the dam and from there return along the same route to the Molkenhaus. From here, we then follow the Kaiserweg to the Großer Burgberg and hike back down into the valley to the spa park, our starting point.
