Directions

The route starts at the Langenstein-Zwieberge memorial.

First, walk about 500 meters straight ahead to the edge of the forest of the Thekenberge. Then at the fork in the path, take the right path until a path branches off to the left. Follow this path straight ahead until reaching a shelter with a crossroads. Take the left path.

From afar, you can already see the red-orange stamp station "In the Shadow of the Witches." You have reached the Fuchsklippe. From here, continue a short distance to the Gläserner Mönch, passing the Kalte Warte, the highest point in the Thekenberge. The Gläserner Mönch is another viewpoint in the Thekenberge. At the Gläserner Mönch, you can descend a staircase with 169 steps to the former country house. At the bottom of the country house, walk left for a stretch on the Saint James Pilgrimage route, also known as the Way of Suffering.

At the next fork, take the left path which leads you straight back to the forest edge of the Thekenberge and further back to the starting point, the parking lot at the Langenstein-Zwieberge memorial, in about 1.5 km.
