This hike leads through the species-rich Cluswald to the Clus monastery church. From there, it continues on a scenic field path to the cultural center Kloster Brunshausen and then back to the starting point through the interesting wetland area "Koppelwiese".

At the beginning of the route, red deer, fallow deer, and mouflon captivate us in the mountain spa park, which borders the species-rich Cluswald. Massive beeches and oaks line our path here. A “wood library” on the nature trail provides information about the growth and use of different types of wood. Via a scenic forest edge path, the hiker soon reaches the impressive monastery church of the former Benedictine monastery Clus. The exhibition “Portal to History” in the former Kloster Brunshausen should not be missed either. The garden of the monastery courtyard impresses with its symbiosis of art and nature. The path through the interesting wetland area "Koppelwiese" then leads back to the starting point of this varied circular route.

On the right side of Hildesheimer Straße, the RW 2 initially runs a short stretch towards the city, then climbs the Habichtsfang on the right and reaches the forest edge via the lower carpet path, passing the wildlife enclosure. At the shelter, the path turns right and runs through the species-rich Cluswald to a signpost that leads us right onto a narrow forest edge trail. The path soon approaches a cozy seating area at the hiking parking lot. From here, one must accept a short section along the district road to the nearby village of Clus. We walk through the village and find the impressive monastery church within the manor at the other end of the village. The RW 2 now turns left at the village oak at the exit and runs for some time through a typically open, panoramic Börde landscape. When the settlement “Schülerkamp” is reached, we turn right and hike along a field path to the district road, where we quickly head left and arrive at Kloster Brunshausen. Below the monastery church, we cross the federal road at the traffic light and reach our starting point again through the landscape conservation area “Koppelwiese”.
