  • Destination: Circular route with the possibility to use other entry and exit points.
The route runs almost exclusively on paved field and forest paths and on secondary roads. It offers many beautiful views of the Heberbörde and the Harz foothills.

The beautiful nature and the opportunity to get to know the culture and history of the city and some districts during a break are appealing.
Already at the starting point, you have the opportunity to experience Gandersheim's history, for example, during a walk through the old town, as a guest at the municipal museum, or when visiting the Romanesque collegiate church with the exhibition "Discovering treasures anew".

Along the route, there are numerous playgrounds inviting you to linger and also two riding stables.

Directions

From the collegiate church, go up Bismarkstraße. We cross the intersection with traffic lights towards Seesen and turn right after about 200 m. Through Wrescherode – there is a playground on the left side in the village – and then continue to Domäne Schachtenbeck. In front of Domäne Schachtenbeck, there is an option to shorten the route. Turn left to Seboldshausen and return to Bad Gandersheim on a cycle path. Go straight ahead to Harriehausen. There is also the Eterna riding stable. In Harriehausen we ride on the main street and turn left to Hachenhausen. After the bridge, turn right. There is a playground in front of the sports field. Behind the sports field we turn left to Hachenhausen. At the fork, we cycle left. Then continue to the main street, where we turn right. If we turn left at the first street, we reach the playground at the village community center. Go straight ahead to federal road 64. Turning left takes us back to Bad Gandersheim via Seboldshausen. To the right, the cycle path leads to Dannhausen. If we turn right at the first street in the village, there is a playground and a sports field there. We cycle through the village and up to the Heber on the right (steep!). After about 1.2 km, we turn left. This path offers a beautiful view of the Heberbörde. Turn left down over the Hebersiedlung to federal road 64. Turn right to Seboldshausen. Here, besides a playground (at the rainwater retention basin), there is also a riding hall with riding grounds. The cycle path then returns to Bad Gandersheim.
