The start and finish of this extensive circular hike is the Bodetal village of Altenbrak. The path leads via Treseburg up the Tiefenbachtal valley to the outskirts of Friedrichsbrunn and from there to Allrode. Passing the Windenhütte hunting lodge, you return to the starting point.

Directions
From the central hiking signpost tree in the large car park in Altenbrak, the path initially goes steeply uphill towards the »Jägerbaude« (blue triangle / green witch) and then follows the Bode river to Treseburg. Here, turn right at the church onto the country road towards Allrode and reach the spa park after about 150 meters.
Now follow the hiking trail (red bar / yellow square) along the Luppbode river until the path branches off to the left through the Tiefenbachtal valley (green dot). Through here, you reach the outskirts of Friedrichsbrunn and then turn right onto the path to Allrode (red square).
In Allrode, cross the country road towards Treseburg and follow the hiking trail slightly right to Altenbrak (green triangle). About halfway, you pass the Windenhütte hunting lodge (refreshment opportunity) before returning to Altenbrak via the viewpoint »Hohe Sonne«.
