Directions

We start towards Kirschallee. At the shelter, we turn right onto the Harz Club path, shortly after left and then left again onto the Cave Path.

At the tram turnaround loop, we follow Hans-Neuptert-Straße to the right up to the junction "Vor der Klus."

There we follow the signs "Klusberge" to the left and continue straight past the former Felsenkeller guesthouse.

Via a staircase ascent, we reach a plateau and take the right path from there past the waterworks to the THW.

There we turn left onto Freiderich-List-Str. and walk past the asylum center to the beginning of the Thekenberge.

We take the right slab path and at the next 3 junctions always keep to the right on the path.

After 250m at the fork, we take the left path and then continue straight until we reach a shelter.

We take the 2nd right turn to reach the ridge path of the Thekenberge.

Our path leads past the Fox Cliff (stamp point) and the viewpoint Kalte Warte.

Then we take the left path to the viewpoint Gläserner Mönch.

From here we descend the stairs to the former "Landhaus" guesthouse and then stay left on the gravel path.

We stay on the path of German emperors and kings and cross the former railway line to the entrance of the tunnel system of the concentration camp memorial.

Then we come to a fork. There we continue straight on the main path towards Medingschanze.

Our path passes the so-called Obelisk and the last preserved trench from World War I on German soil.

Then we turn left onto the hiking path "An der Wartburg" (former guesthouse).

Always straight ahead until the beginning of the orchard meadow. Then we turn right onto the path towards Blankenburger Kopf/Bismarck Tower.

Over wooden planks, the ascent leads to the highest point, the "Blankenburger Kopf." From there we continue the path to the Bismarck Tower.

After that, we always keep to the right until we reach the Jahnwiese. From there we walk on the panorama path towards the hunting lodge.

Past the Belvedere viewpoint and down the stairs at the hunting lodge, you arrive back at the starting point.
