This 21-kilometer long section of the Lutherweg leads from Nordhausen in Thuringia to Stolberg in Saxony-Anhalt.

On this stage from one historic town to another, hikers can explore the magical landscape of the South Harz. The characteristic karst and hilly landscape offers impressive views and vistas. Once in Stolberg, a visit to the Alte Münze Museum as well as Stolberg Castle, with plenty of information about the birthplace of Thomas Müntzer, is worthwhile.
