Directions

You start at the Burchardi Monastery in Halberstadt.

Passing through the Voigtei, past the Johannes Fountain, Tränketor, over the cathedral square, along the Church of Our Lady, past Westendorfer Street, you reach the plantation in Halberstadt.

Riding through there, you reach the Aller-Harz cycle path on the left.

You follow this straight ahead through the Halberstadt mountains to Langenstein. -7.5 km

You turn right onto Quedlinburger Street and ride via Dorfstraße to the oil mill pond. - 0.8 km

Here you turn left onto the Harz Foothills cycle path. From here it goes under the railway following the Goldbach stream to the bridge. - 2 km

We cross the bridge and after 200 m turn right to the former Brockenstedter Mill. The path continues to the forest edge of the Heers. (The path is not well maintained.) - 1 km

Passing the soldier's grave, we go to a path turning right. We ride down it and arrive at the former glider airfield (now just a large meadow). The path then leads us back into the forest. A detour to Regenstein Mill is worthwhile. - 2 km

Through the forest, we reach the B 81. The last part of the path is not developed, you have to push your bike up to the parking lot. - 1 km

The B 81 is crossed and we continue into the Birkental valley under the B 6n road

up to the Mönkemühle. - 1 km

Here you ride along the ponds to Michaelstein Monastery. - 1 km
