Okertalsperre (forest side only)

There are parking lots in front of and behind the forebay dam, directly on the B 498.

The easy winter hike starts at the forebay dam of the Okertalsperre. After crossing the forebay dam, turn left and follow the wide winter trail, above the shore of the Okertalsperre for about 8 km, until you reach the main dam of the Okertalsperre. By crossing the dam, you get an impression of the impressive structure and can enjoy a magnificent view into the Okertal and the surrounding mountains from here.
