  • Destination: Bad Frankenhausen
The route takes you through the beech forests of the Hainleite into the Wippertal and at the foot of the Kyffhäuser to Bad Frankenhausen.

From the Possen leisure park you ride east over the Hainleite plateau. Along the way, Rohrteich, Mutterblutbuche, and Marienbrunn invite you to take a break. Gravel paths dominate here; only in the area of the Mutterblutbuche do you ride on a tank road. A first longer climb takes you from Marienbrunn to the southern edge of the Hainleite forest. The paths are well passable, even if the gravel becomes somewhat coarser; only just before Klostergut Bonnrode is the path quality partly somewhat worse. On top, however, there are wonderful views into the valley, and resting places invite you to pause. After a short climb, the route goes down into the Wippertal. Be sure to ride slowly here as it gets somewhat steeper in places! From Seega, the path rises again to the Windleite. Hardly any trees block your view here; you discover great views in all directions – especially down to Bad Frankenhausen, where this stage ends.
