Exciting tour with the blue trail marker No. 1 along the Osterode city wall.

As a former fortification, it was about 1,700 m long and had 4 gates: the Neustädter Gate, the Jacobi Gate, the Johannis Gate, and the Marien Gate, all of which were demolished in the 19th century.

Even today, street names recall these gates. This circular tour always leads you along the historic city wall - in some places it no longer exists today - but its course can be very well recognized.
