Social Christmas market
The days are getting shorter, the lights are getting brighter—the Advent season is just around the corner!
And once again this year, it’s time for some Christmas magic in the church parking lot: the Bad Lauterberg Social Christmas Market is back.

On the first weekend of Advent, the Social Christmas Market warmly invites you to celebrate the anticipation of Christmas together. On Saturday, November 28, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., and on Sunday, November 29, from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m., the church parking lot in the heart of town will be transformed into a festive Christmas village.

Visitors can look forward to a wide variety of offerings:
Atmospherically decorated booths invite you to browse and offer opportunities to discover your first gifts. A colorful stage program provides entertainment and sets the mood.

As is tradition, there will also be a raffle for geese and children’s surprise packages on both days. Raffle tickets for the geese can be found on the flyers that will be available in advance at many stores, as well as directly at the booths on the square. Children can also pick up their raffle tickets for the surprise package drawing there.

Participating is very simple:
Fill out the ticket, drop it into the raffle box by the stage—and with a little luck, you’ll hear your name called during the live drawing on site. Winners must be present.

There are more highlights for our young guests: On Sunday at 3:00 p.m., Santa Claus will arrive, accompanied by his cheerful elves, and he’ll have a gift for every child. Very brave children are welcome to sit with him. In addition, Thomas’s little train will be making its rounds; on Saturday, you can make and color candles; and on Sunday, before Santa arrives, the Juki dance group invites everyone to dance and join in to make the wait for Santa go by faster.

Another highlight is the big Christmas raffle. Anyone who wants to try their luck can buy a raffle ticket and maybe win one of the many prizes or gift certificates. But every ticket isn’t just a chance to win—it’s a win for the whole town. That’s because when you buy a ticket, you’re supporting the restoration of the Bismarck Tower in Bad Lauterberg.

There’s plenty of culinary variety as well. From hearty kale to delicious grilled dishes, waffles, crepes, and Baumstriezel, there’s something for every taste.
Of course, mulled wine and other specialties, as well as cold drinks and warming tea, will also be available. In the spirit of sustainability, everyone is encouraged to bring their own reusable cup again.

The event is organized by the Soziale Weihnachtsmarkt Bad Lauterberg e. V., which is dedicated to creating a festive atmosphere and keeping prices low so that truly everyone can afford a little Christmas cheer.

Every year, countless volunteers come together to kick off the pre-Christmas Advent season with all the guests and create a warm, festive atmosphere. That’s why the market is also accessible to everyone, ensuring easy entry for all.

For everyone involved, the Christmas market is a place of connection, warmth, and togetherness.

Everyone is invited and warmly welcome to enjoy the cozy Advent atmosphere.
