The route of the circular trails
For hikers who don't want to walk an entire stage, circular routes have been marked along the Harzer BaudenSteig. These allow you to reach the Bauden on half-day or full-day hikes. Without walking the same path twice, you can comfortably return to your starting point at the car park.
On this page, you’ll find an overview of all circular routes. With a click on the respective tour, you’ll get to a detailed description including a map, elevation profile, and interesting points along the way. You can also download the corresponding GPX data for digital navigation or a PDF document with all the information for printing.
All circular tours offer something special. The BaudenSteig Circular Route No. 1 around Bad Grund offers plenty of variety for families with children, featuring the World Forest Harz, the Cave Experience Centre and the Fairy Tale Forest. A beautiful day hike is the BaudenSteig Circular Route No. 3 from Riefensbeek up to the Hanskühnenburg and back over the Söse Dam to Riefensbeek. The BaudenSteig Circular Routes No. 2, 4 and 6 are wonderful panoramic hiking trails.
All BaudenSteig circular routes touch the BaudenSteig and give you the feeling of following this beautiful long-distance hiking trail for a while. The circular routes are marked with the ochre-coloured Harzer BaudenSteig symbol.
