1500 exotic herbs and spice plants await you in one of the largest herb parks in Altenau. In the spice gallery, you can learn all about sage, lavender, lemon balm, mint, thyme and hyssop; their origins, uses and healing properties.
Follow our easy-to-walk paths in search of clues and explore our highlight, the spice pagoda, in the style of a Buddhist temple. The history of herbs and spices is vividly told here. In our shop you will find over 800 home-made spice blends from all over the world to take home with you. Tea and herbal blends are also available as suggestions for your medicine cabinet. Handmade oil and vinegar variations as well as herbal liqueurs and other specialities round off the park's diverse range.
