Dr. Bosse Traditionsobst
The small settlement of Osterholz lies just outside Blankenburg on the edge of the Harz Mountains. There is a sunlit hill there called "Jakob", where fruit trees have always stood.
In 2011, Dr. Matthias Bosse acquired this orchard and has been recultivating it with private funds ever since. Over time, several areas were added. The Bosse family's aim is to cultivate traditional, often forgotten varieties of fruit from the region. Great importance is attached to compliance with nature conservation guidelines. Among other things, this means grazing the meadows and not using chemical fertilizers and additives. In 2015, the products were awarded the organic seal of approval.
In addition to direct sales (contact via email or 0172 7788931), the company also supplies cooperation partners, including organic and supermarkets, public institutions in the region as well as hotels, restaurants, such as the Rodelhaus Braunlage, bakeries, distilleries and cideries. This means that the fruit is delivered to the consumer over short distances.
