Kelbra Tourist Information

Tourist information
As a service center for the Südharz-Kyffhäuser region, the Kelbra Tourist Information Office serves as the first point of contact for visitors and residents.
Located in the heart of downtown, it offers comprehensive guidance and expert assistance in planning your stay in the Golden Aue.

Kelbra itself is one of the oldest settlements in the region and captivates visitors with its eventful history, which remains alive in the ruins of the Cistercian monastery, the historic Storkauer Hof, and St. George’s Church. Its geographical location on the northern slope of the Kyffhäuser Mountains shapes the town’s character and makes it a strategic starting point for hikes in the nature park. In addition to the historic promenade and the specialized button-making and local history museum, short walks lead to significant landmarks such as the Kyffhäuser Monument or the fascinating gypsum karst caves in the surrounding area. The Tilleda Royal Palace on the Romanesque Route and the expansive Kelbra Reservoir perfectly complement the cultural and natural attractions of this historic region.
