Easy e-bike route from Altenau via the "Old Railway Line" to Clausthal, then continuing through the Langetal valley to the Oker Reservoir/Main Dam/Pre-Dam and back to the old station in Altenau. Warning: Currently, a detour is signposted from the "Old Station".

Starting from the parking lot "Rothenberger Straße / Hüttenteich," we begin the e-bike route along the Old Railway Line. The route steadily but gently ascends towards Clausthal-Zellerfeld. At the end of the former railway line, we take a small climb and then follow the forest road/border path to the right for about 3 km before turning right into the "Langetal" valley. We pass the "Langeteich," which is part of the cultural monument "Oberharz Water Regale" and is therefore under heritage protection. We continue along the forest road until the end of the Langetal, then turn left and reach road L 517. From here, we cycle along the shore path by the Oker Reservoir. We cross the Bramke bridge, then at the intersection continue towards Goslar until we reach the main dam, which we cross to continue our route along the Oker Reservoir on the paved forest road. Benches along the dam invite you to rest. After about 8 km, we reach the pre-dam and cross it, cycling further towards Altenau and following the main road until we can turn into Rothenbergstraße to return to the starting point.
