  • Start: Burgberg valley station

On this route, we hike along historic paths – away from the usual tourist trails.

The starting point of our route is the valley station of the Burgberg cable car. With it, we ride up to the Großer Burgberg – alternatively, we could also climb up ourselves via Herzogweg. Once at the top, we look at the ruins of Harzburg near the mountain station and start our circular walk on the mountain plateau. The Kleine Burgberg is worth an initial stop: we take a short detour to it and enjoy the view. Continuing our hike, the Krodotal opens up beautifully to our left. Following the Eichenberg circular route, we reach Eselsplatz and then the statue of St. Antonius at Antoniusplatz. Returning to the mountain station, the path leads us down through the Kalte Tal and over Herzogweg. Our hike ends in the spa park, where the "HarzWaldHaus" invites you to a visit.
