Circular route Ahorn

The starting point is Schäfertor. We walk parallel to the L466, cross a small brook, soon leave the area of the state road, and reach the forest edge of the “Söhrberg” on a gravel path. Here you decide whether to go north on the gravel path in the forest or the forest edge grass path. In good weather, the latter path should be taken with a good view of the village from several benches.

Past “Zehnder’s Chicken Farm” we turn east and rest on a natural bench on the left side with a wide view over Neuhof and Wöllersheim towards the north. We continue on a well-marked forest path through beech and spruce stands to the “Leopoldstern,” a forest path crossing with a bench. As a variant, you can first take the path marked with a deer symbol to Glashütte and then take the mushroom path from Glashütte to the “Leopoldstern.”

From here continue westwards via the “Jägertanne” to the forest edge. At the forest edge, you return to the starting point.
