Directions

Starting at the Bleichestelle parking lot, the path leads along the Harzer-Hexen-Stieg via the Hundscher Weg, an old trade route, past the Kiepenfrau, up to the Kote at Eselsplatz (HWN 140). On the summit behind the Kote, there is a fantastic view over the Söse dam, into the heights of the Harz and the Harz foreland.

To the left of the Kote, you follow a narrow path down into the valley to the Söse dam to the dam wall.

Then you continue over the dam, turn right and the path leads you parallel to the Söse to the Schwarzer Brücke parking lot.

From there, along the Schneiderteichweg, you pass the Osterode forest bird station. You can take a short break in the beer garden of the Eulenburg campsite. Before the asphalt road begins further on, a path to the Schützenpark residential area leads off to the right.

Walk down this path halfway and then immediately left over the root path towards the Schützenpark kindergarten. Cross the federal road at the large intersection via the traffic light system and you have already reached the Bleichestelle parking lot again.
