A round 6 km long route hike from Hasselfelde to Stiege with the highlights: Meriansblick, Stieger See with castle view, Stieger stave church, and the smallest turning loop in Europe. You can return very relaxed on the historic Selketalbahn.

Experience an unforgettable hike through the picturesque landscape of the Harz! Over a distance of around 6 km, the path leads you from Hasselfelde to Stiege and offers numerous highlights that will delight you. Enjoy the breathtaking view from Meriansblick, admire the idyllic Stieger See with castle view, and admire the unique Stieger stave church. But that’s not all: on the return journey, you can relax and take the historic Selketalbahn to experience the beauty of the Harz from a completely new perspective. You can reach Hasselfelde by car

- via the B 81 from the direction of Nordhausen - from the direction of Wernigerode via the B244, in Elbingerode turn off B27 towards Rübeland, then turn off L96 towards Rappbodetalsperre, turn off B81 to Hasselfelde

- from the direction of Güntersberge / Stiege via the B242

- from the direction of Braunlage / Tanne via the B242

Parking spaces are available in front of the Tourist Information Hasselfelde, Breite Str. 17.

You can reach the Harz town Hasselfelde by bus of the Harzer Verkehrsbetriebe:

from the direction of Wernigerode and Allrode

from the direction of Halberstadt / Blankenburg

from the direction of Benneckenstein

or

by the Harzer narrow gauge railway.
