The gravel bike tour starting at the parking lot at Steinbergalm in Goslar is varied and interesting, heading towards Granetalsperre. It leads over the dam towards Wolfshagen in the Harz, passing an old and abandoned quarry. Once there, you have a beautiful view of the remains of the old diabase quarry. Many birds have discovered nesting sites there, and you can observe buzzards, kites, and herons. The route continues downhill to Wolfshagen, where the tour partially goes through the small town in the Harz, with various dining options available. From Wolfshagen, the route continues on asphalt and gravel back to Granetalsperre. Several kilometers of the route run along the shore of the reservoir before gently ascending back to Goslar's Steinberg.
