Directions
The route leads via the sculpture path to Wrescherode, then to the small village Ellierode, which earned the nickname “The Hidden Village” at the end of World War II. The village of Wiershausen is one of the early medieval settlements in this region. Between Kalefeld and Sebexen lies the turnoff to the “White Water Church,” first mentioned in 1055, and the Bible Garden. This themed garden is located on the Jakobs pilgrimage route Via Scandinavia. The villagescape of Opperhausen is shaped by the St. Urbanus Church and the village pond. Near Haieshausen, the route passes under the historic viaduct of the railway line Kreiensen-Altenbeeken-Paderborn. From there, it continues on the R1 via Kreiensen and Orxhausen back to Bad Gandersheim.
