  • Start: Steinway Park Seesen, Granestraße, 38723 Seesen. Starting the route is also possible at: Tourist Information, Kaspar-Bitter-Straße 7 B, 38685 Lautenthal. Tourist Information, Bohlweg 5, 38709 Wildemann.

The mountain and valley route leads in a large arc through the mountains of the West Harz.

The big circuit begins with a difficult and longer climb through the Schildau valley. From Wildemann a great trail leads along the mountain to Lautenthal. In the Innerste valley it then goes down to the reservoir before the second mountain stage (Schnapsplatz, Herzogstein) begins. Afterwards and finally on the western edge of the Harz, it goes back to Seesen.

About 3 km east from the station towards the town exit is the spa park (Granestraße), where the five MTB routes S1 to S5 lead from the valley into the mountains.
