The Christmas season is all about anticipation, reflection, children’s sparkling eyes, and the glow of festive lights. Let yourself be enchanted; escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life for a few hours and enjoy the cozy, warm atmosphere around the festively decorated Town Hall Square in Thale.

From December 18–20, 2026, Bodetal Tourismus GmbH, in partnership with the City of Thale, invites you to a festive celebration for young and old alike. A variety of food and arts-and-crafts booths invites you to stroll across Town Hall Square. Listen to the festive music, breathe in the scent of Christmas in the air, and savor all kinds of delicacies! You’re also welcome to sing, dance, and make music together .

Admission is free every day.

3:30 p.m.       “Tannenspitz” and “Kugeltreu”
This Christmas program is a children’s variety show with theatrical
elements and stage technology. Lots of fun and plenty of laughs for all the kids
—and for the “grown-ups” too—with games, fun, music, and dance!

Once again this year, Mr. Michael Herker from REWE Michael Herker
oHG is once again presenting our mayor, Maik Zedschack, with a Christmas-themed
challenge... Stay tuned and join us when the bet is settled

5:00 p.m.        Musical finale of the 2026 Thalens Advent Market featuring
               singer and TV host Uta Bresan
