IM TAKT Monastery - Open Sing-Along in the Monastery Church by Candlelight

Does that sound appealing? Then come to the Wöltingerode Monastery Church! To wrap up the “Spiritual Autumn” series at the Harz monasteries, we’re offering music lovers a good hour of communal singing—simple, catchy canons and songs—in a candlelit atmosphere as evening falls.

The only requirement is a love of singing. We’ve once again been able to welcome musician, choir director, and singer Juliette Jacobsen from Hanover—under her charming direction, your voice will seem to sing almost on its own. No knowledge of music notation is required; lyrics will be provided. Juliette will be joined by several members of her Hanover-based choir, LeineTakt, who will perform a few pieces from their repertoire at the end of the event.

Afterward, the delicious monastery punch from the Klosterhotel Wöltingerode awaits us in the cloister to delight both our palates and our vocal cords. Admission is free; donations are welcome. Please dress warmly!
