Sunday Matinee
How does tradition shape our view of work, community, and solidarity? The lecture takes visitors on a personal journey through time into the daily life of a miner in the late 1970s. The focus is on the experiences of a young “Beflissener”—a particularly eager and dedicated young miner who must find his place in the world of mining with a strong sense of duty and a willingness to learn. Vivid experiences and stories reveal the unique world underground, with its challenges, its own set of rules, and the strong sense of community among the miners.
