The Harzer-Hexen-Stieg has already been awarded several times as a “Quality Trail – Hikeable Germany”. This distinction sets uniform nationwide standards for hiking enjoyment.
Every three years, 32 criteria are reviewed — from trail surface and signposting to varied routes and opportunities for food and rest stops.
The Harzer-Hexen-Stieg meets all the criteria with flying colours.
