Wöltingerode Monastery

The former Benedictine monastery Wöltingerode was founded in 1174 and remains an extensive monastic complex to this day. In the historic buildings, you’ll now find a monastery hotel with comfortable facilities as well as a distillery. Fine schnapps and liqueurs have been produced there since 1682.
The grounds also include a fish smokehouse and a herb garden. In September, a farm festival takes place where products from the monastery and the region are offered.
Our farm shop
is located in the old manor house of the monastery. There you can get products from our own distillery as well as other specialities from monasteries and the region.
