Burg Sehusa

Today's Sehusa Castle, whose tower is the town's landmark, has been rebuilt several times since the middle of the 15th century. The remains of the medieval ramparts can be seen behind Sehusa Castle. The coat of arms at the entrance to the stair tower indicates that the main building was completed in 1592. The half-timbered structure with its turrets (former "Amtshaus") was completely destroyed in a fire in 1664. The side wings date from 1870 and 1885.

Interesting features: The wall thicknesses of 2.75 m on the first floor reduce to 1.25 m up to the third floor, the Renaissance stair tower with "Welscher Haube" has high-oval, baroque-framed windows.
Today, this is the seat of the district court. Visits are unfortunately not possible.
