Sankt Andreasberg Observatory

In 2014, a very special observatory was opened in Sankt Andreasberg in the Upper Harz Mountains: the Sternwarte Sankt Andreasberg. The project is supported and financed by the non-profit association Sternwarte Sankt Andreasberg e.V. The aim is to make the sky accessible to all people - young and old, disabled and non-disabled - and to impart astronomical knowledge.
The grounds of the observatory at the Internationales Haus Sonnenberg offer excellent viewing conditions and low turbidity air at an altitude of 710 m above sea level.
The observatory's special features are for everyone: Experience nature, culture and science without barriers.

7. The observatory is especially designed for astro-tourists and as a meeting point for amateur astronomers.
8. We offer five pillars with power supply, on which your own telescopes can be mounted, lectures, workshops, planetarium projection, exhibition of models of celestial bodies and the arrangement of overnight accommodation.
