Partner initiatives represent the close, trustful cooperation between the management of a protected area and locally based businesses. The partner initiatives in the National Natural Landscapes have made it their mission to design their offers to be of high quality as well as nature- and environmentally friendly, to continuously improve them, and to offer you as a guest an appealing range of nature experiences.

Joint quality and environmental standards ensure a consistently high level nationwide for every participating partner business:
Nationwide minimum requirements for partners of the National Natural Landscapes.

Due to regional differences and the various conservation goals of the natural landscapes (national parks, biosphere reserves or nature parks), these minimum requirements form the basis. They are individually specified by the respective protected areas and are often supplemented with even higher requirements. Businesses in the Harz region that wish to become National Park partners must go through an application process with six steps. Partners of the Karst Landscape South Harz Biosphere Reserve must also meet specific criteria.
