Königsberg Circular Tour

The tour leads from the Health Center through the town center via the market square and along the street "An der Post" up into the Kelchtal valley.

In the upper Kelchtal, it turns right onto an even or slightly inclined forest path past the Kaiser Spring to the Kneipp facility. This invites you to a relaxing foot and arm bath, supplied with natural spring water. At the Kneipp facility, the tour turns left with an ascent along a path into and through the Liebeswäldchen (Lovers' Wood). At the end, where several paths meet, it goes right uphill along the narrow path by the Klugsche Meadow. Upon reaching the municipal connecting road, the tour continues to the entrance on the right side (opposite parking lot P1) into the upper part of the World Forest. There, immediately right, a short section slightly downhill and then immediately left into the Korea path. At the end of these two paths, a gentle ascent leads left (Blockhausweg) up to the Princess Ilse Hut. At a rest stop here, there is a view of the limestone quarry on the Winterberg, the Iberg, and the tip of the Hübichstein rising above the treetops of the Violet Mountain, with the eagle perched on it. A wide wooden lounge behind the Princess Ilse Hut offers a place for a break. From the open area by the log cabin, it gently descends along the Blockhausweg to the Canada path. The tour follows this with a wonderful view into the valley of the Hübichweg and down to the Iberg settlement toward the gate, then out of the World Forest to the Hübichenstein. Passing the open area at the foot of the Hübichstein, the circular tour follows the path on the left side of the slope adjacent to road B 242 above the Iberg settlement to Schurfbergstraße. Upon arrival, it briefly descends right and at the junction of the Iberg settlement, follows the forest road into the Schurfberg. With a view of the rows of houses in the Iberg settlement, it now descends through the Schurfberg and keeps left at the trail junction to the small waterfall. From here, it is only a short way right down the Schurfbergstraße back to the starting point at the Health Center.
