Paradiesweg round

The tour starts at the health center.

Along Schurfbergstraße to the small waterfall; there cross the street and take the level path on the left, above the waterfall. Continue to the junction leading uphill to the right. After the easy to moderate ascent of this forest road (from here you have a view of the Ibergsiedlung with its old half-timbered and timbered houses) to the intersection of Schurfbergstraße/Am Iberg. Cross Schurfbergstraße (vehicular traffic!) and roughly midway up the access road to B 242 enter the path, asphalted on the first half, past the two standalone houses into the Teufelstal. On arrival in Teufelstal turn left slightly uphill to the Eisenstein tunnel. Before the waterfall turn right with a short and easy slope and then mostly level on the Paradiesweg above the Teufelstal. The name Teufelstal has changed over time. The original name was Teufe-Tal, the miner's word for deep valley (Teufe = depth). After about a kilometer there is a water passage before the path ascends again. There turn right with a slight descent down to von-Eichendorff-Straße. After about 100 m downhill on von-Eichendorff-Straße turn right over the short asphalted branch and then down on the forest path with a slight descent to the Teufelstal sports park. Around the school towards the village and back on Schurfbergstraße to the health center.
