The Harzer-Hexen-Stieg is almost 150 kilometres long including both variants. The direct route from Osterode via the Brocken to Thale covers 94 kilometres. If you take the Brocken bypass via St. Andreasberg and Braunlage, the route measures 107 kilometres.
